The combined Ganges–Brahmaputra delta is the largest delta on Earth. Monsoon rain and Himalayan meltwater bring risk, but also the soil that made one of the world’s densest rural landscapes possible.
Here the map is never finished. Channels braid, islands appear and vanish, and the Sundarbans forest grips the salty edge with roots instead of walls.
